Quick Questions
"Pickup service was good. Services on board was great, the village sightseeing was god, and guide spoke good English. If I could wish for two things; taking drink orders at the tables on top deck during nighttime and a stop or two at the floating market, not just driving by. Information and payment was good. Would recommend to friends. Thank you for a good trip, and experience. "

Detailed Itinerary:
Day1: Ben Tre - Vinh Long - Tra On
You'll be met and transferred to board your cruise at 10am from the Ham Luong Pier in Ben Tre Town.   Upon boarding your private sampan, your luggage will be brought to your cabin, while you enjoy a refreshing welcome cocktail on the deck and meet the crewmembers.

You will start cruising west toward Mo Cay District.

Your first stop will be in Phu Tan Village, where you will enjoy a bike ride through village paths, giving you an up-close look at local activities along the way.  You will visit a coconut-processing mill where you will see how various coconut products are made.

After your bike ride, return to your boat where you can relax and enjoy the afternoon sun while you cruise through the scenic Vung Liem canals.

Your last stop for the day will be in the town of Vung Liem, where you will cycle to a brickworks, and visit the local Cao Dai Temple.  Then it’s back to your boat.  Freshen up, and come to the deck where you will have a cooking demonstration before enjoying a delicious, 5-course dinner onboard, while your boat cruises to the lively town of Tra On to dock for the night.

The rest of the evening is spent at your leisure.

Day 2: Tra On - Can Tho - Long Xuyen - Cho Moi
Get up early in the morning to see the Tra On floating market before heading to Can Tho.  Stop at the spectacular Cai Rang floating market (the Mekong’s largest & busiest), where you will transfer to a smaller boat and mingle amongst the thousands of trading vessels.  Feel free to buy fruits or drinks, even coffee, from the local boats.

After your market visit, transfer back to your boat for breakfast.  Cruising will resume along the Hau River (Lower River) to Long Xuyen.  Stop at Ong Ho Island to visit the Ton Duc Thang Museum, named after Vietnam’s second president after Ho Chi Minh.

Head back to your sampan and continue cruising, while taking in the tropical scenery and laid-back life style.

You will stop at another small village for a bike ride where you will visit some traditional local workshops: mat weaving, rice-flour making and rice husking.  At this point you can extend your bike ride, enjoying the lush, peaceful beauty, or you can return to your boat and relax until lunch is served onboard.

After lunch, you will stop Long Giang village to visit Tay An Temple, where locals practice a branch of buddhism called Hoa Hao.

Get on your bicycles and ride along the village road where you can observe the daily activities along the canal.

Have a brief visit at Cai Xoai market before getting back to your sampan.
Freshen up, and relax.  Dinner will be served onboard.  Spend the remainder of the evening at your leisure while the boat cruises to Cho Moi town.  Overnight onboard at Cho Moi.

Day 3: Cho Moi - Vam Nao - Chau Doc
Enjoy breakfast in the morning while cruising to Hoa Hao en route to Chau Doc.  Stop and enjoy a walk through beautiful orchards and fields, meeting the friendly locals along the way. Get back to your boat for lunch.

As you continue cruising, you will start to notice more houses on stilts and flooded fields. This area is prone to severe flooding and as result, is one of the Delta’s poorest regions.

You can stop in the village, cross the monkey bridges and chat with the cheerful local kids.

Return to your boat and continue to Chau Doc.  Visit the Cham Islamic village in Chau Giang; one of the biggest Muslim towns in Vietnam where the locals speak both Vietnamese and Cham languages. They read the Quran in Arabic and, of course, all the men in the village wish to travel to Mecca once in their lifetime.  You will visit the Mubarak Mosque, one of the mosques in the Chau Doc area.

The cruise will then make its way to the pier in Chau Doc town, where you will be dropped off.  At this point you can either return to Saigon via private car, or take the speed boat to  Phnom Penh the following morning.
